When You Fear the Unknown

Tuesday, March 2, 2021

Lord,
You are the only one who knows everything. You are sovereign and omnipotent. Your mighty hands are stretched out across the nations. Because you are in control, I do not have to fear. What a relief that is. You are my refuge and my strength in every circumstance. In times of uncertainty, your immutable, unchanging character gives me great comfort. Help me to remember that I can fight fear with steadfast trust and thanksgiving. God, I know that you are the light in my darkest times. If I walk in the light alongside you, my fears will be stripped away. If I am in constant fellowship with you, I will be overcome with joy and gratitude. Even when I lack faith, you are faithful. You are a God of peace and not confusion; comfort not anxiety. You promise to uphold me with your righteous right hand and strengthen me each day. Thank you for being with me no matter where I am or what I am facing. I must remember to take heart as I fear the unknown, for you have overcome the world.
AMEN.

Verse:
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.
